Humboldt Domestic Violence Services
Humboldt Domestic Violence Services (HDVS) is dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and human trafficking in Humboldt County, CA. Serving a largely rural region of Northern California, we provide essential services including counseling, emergency response, support groups, shelter, restraining order assistance, and accompaniment. HDVS interacts with the diverse rural communities in our region with a number of population segments facing significant barriers to receiving domestic violence support. Key vulnerable populations are low-income survivors, geographically isolated survivors, survivors with families of mixed status, indigenous survivors, LGBTQIA+ survivors, homeless survivors, and vulnerable youth and families. The mission of HDVS is to break the cycle of domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and trafficking through services, education, and advocacy.
